Meet Tosha
Hello! My name is Tosha Schiffli, otherwise known as the eCom Mom. I am an eCommerce and digital marketing consultant. My niche is small business and influencer marketing. My journey to starting this company is a long one. So grab a cup of coffee (or a Red Bull!) and let’s get started.
My husband and I have six kids. Yes, I said six. Yes, they are all mine. Yes, I know what causes that. But I’m no quitter. As my family grew, my budget shrank. Hiring full-time staff to help run my business was out of the question. So we had to manage our time and our resources better.
Little did I know that by not having the ability to hire that “Dream Team” of photographers, carpenters, designers, digital marketers, developers, SEO specialists, e-commerce managers, graphic designers, accountants, financial planners, teachers, a nanny, and a housekeeper…He was actually preparing me for something bigger.
Like many people, I sold myself short and did not believe that I had any marketable skills. Until a chance meeting with a successful female entrepreneur changed my life! She encouraged me to start my consulting business and gave me the opportunity of a lifetime and offered me a job! I went from being a stay-at-home mom to being an eCommerce and Digital Marketing Manager for a multi-million dollar company.
You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

That one opportunity changed my life and led to a successful, rewarding career. Those early years, I received valuable experience, honed my skills, and gained the confidence I needed to build my business. For me, this is what small business is about. I love my job! I can encourage, share, and teach others the skills they need to make their own business a success.
What surprises most people is that I do not have a degree in business or marketing. My degree is in English and I am self-taught. Most people have the ability to do what I do. Where we differ is that I have experience and resources that they do not. A large part of what I do is giving my clients resources, training, and setting up processes. I really believe that what I do can’t be taught in a classroom. A degree does not guarantee you a job, either. It helps but do you know what companies are really looking for? Experience.
An eCom Mom is Born
My oldest daughter went off to college and I was honored when she picked marketing as a degree. Although she was learning the basic skills she would need we knew it wasn’t enough. In order to be competitive, she needed to gain some real-world experience. She told me “Mom, everything they are trying to teach us here–you do. Would it be possible for me to work with you?”
We came up with a plan that I would train her, set her up with a client, and mentor her on the job. It helped me to grow my business and allowed my daughter to gain the experience she needed. We started making training videos and would work together. Then it dawned on both of us that others could benefit from our approach too. That conversation led to this company.
At eCom Mom, we offer our clients the training and experience to manage all facets of small business marketing. Although there are many sites out there that teach small business marketing, our company is unique. What we offer our clients opportunity and experience.
